59th Annual GRAMMY Awards Winners and Losers for 2017

Well you know it’s that time of the year again.  Grammy Awards are one of the most prestigious and important events in the music industry, where the top musicians and artists steal away the deserving awards for their dedication and hard work. In the terms of this important event, there are definite winners and losers. In the recent Grammy Awards 2017, there was some serious competition, some chatter, and some distraction. While Adele was the clear winner of the night, we have listed all the other winners and losers of this year’s Grammys. Amongst several nominations, only a few managed to bag some awards. The event took place on Feb 12 in Los Angeles.

Winners of Grammys 2017:-

Adele:
As I mentioned earlier, Adele was the clear winner of the night. Bagging three awards along with a lot of appraising, Adele shone through the night. She won the awards for three categories, which were Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year for ‘Hello’ and the album ’25’. Apart from the awards, she also won many hearts. One of the brightest moments of the night was when Adele announced that she could not accept the award for the Album of the Year, and said that Beyonce truly deserved it for her striking album ‘Lemonade’.

Another captured moment was when Adele began the night by her popular piece ‘Hello’. The audience roared and applauded and it seemed the award for truly meant for her. Although she wanted to begin again for sounding perfect, the moment showed only her dedication and humility to give out the best performance. This did not stop her from outshining and she did shine during the night.

Beyonce:
The queen of hearts, Beyonce was another deserving winner of the Grammy Awards 2017. Having won a number of awards in the past, she stood no chance of not bagging any awards this year too. Giving repetitive hits every year through her dedication and hard work, she truly deserved the awards. She scored the Best Urban Contemporary Album for “Lemonade” and the Best Music Video for “Formation”. Adele herself is a big fan of the album “Lemonade” and truly dedicated her award to Beyonce.

Beyonce’s performance in the commencement of the event had people going crazy over her. Her golden attire and halo simply added to her charm. Representing fertility and femininity with sheer elegance and beauty, she left her mark on the stage along with hologram interactive of her daughter and mother.

Chance the Rapper:
Another winner of the night, Chance the Rapper had all in his bag that night. He grabbed the Best New Artist for his mixtape “Coloring Book” and the Best Rap Album. Being humble and down to earth, Chance the Rapper continuously thanked god throughout the event and when he won the awards. He even dedicated his awards to all the indie artists who have been struggling for a while now. He performed when the show almost ended, signing “How Great” with Kirk Franklin. He was barely audible due to some technical mic issues but his performance and attitude were praiseworthy.

David Bowie:
The artist who had won only one Grammy Award years back in 1985 for the Best Video for “Jazzin’ for Blue Jean” and a Lifetime Achievement Award ten years ago, took home four of the prestigious Grammys for Best Engineered Album, Best Rock Performance, Best Alternative Album and Best Recording Package, all for “Blackstar”.

Losers of Grammys 2017:-

James Corden:
The untimed jokes and gigs of James Corden were a “not really needed” part of the show where we already had dozens of talented artists performing that night. Slipping off a flight of stairs and wearing a sock on just one leg were silly and unnecessary parts of the show. Not only did it take extra time of the total dedicated hours of the show, the parts with James Corden didn’t really hit off. To be frank, the addition of James Corden was only to take off the charm of the event.

Joy Villa:
Joy Villa or popularly known as Princess Joy Villa showed up on the red carpet with a poor fashion sense and an unattractive piece. Having mentioned on her Instagram profile as a “Grammy Considered Artist”, she was not nominated for a single Award. She seemed to be a clear loser of the night.
